We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. We believe God has given mankind His Word as the sole basis for finding eternal life. We believe that man fell in the Garden of Eden because of disobedience. In order to be redeemed, one must believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only atonement for sin and that Jesus Christ made that atonement by dying on the cross to save us from our sins. 

We believe to be converted, one must repent so that their sins may be blotted out. (See Acts 3:19 and Acts 2:38). We believe repentance is the first of three steps in God’s plan for salvation and is essential to salvation. To repent means to experience sorrow and conviction for past sins and to turn away from them. (See Genesis 12; Matthew 12:41; Luke 13:3; Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38). Repentance in the Bible is symbolic of death to sin. 

Romans 6:4 says, “We are buried with him by baptism into death.” Baptism signifies the burial. We believe in the ordinance of water baptism by immersion of water in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. (See Acts 2:38 and Matthew 3:19). The word baptism is derived from the Greek word baptizo which means to dip, to plunge, to immerse. Jesus said unto Thomas, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Philip asked Jesus to shew him the Father. Jesus said unto Philip, “Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Matthew 1:21 says, “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” The Holy Ghost comes in the name of Jesus. (See John 14:26). Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles of the one God that reveal aspects of His relationship to humanity. God has revealed Himself as Father in creation, the Son for our redemption and the Holy Ghost who dwells within the believer. 

We believe the third step to salvation is to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by the evidence of speaking in tongues. (See Acts 2:4 and Acts 2:38.) John 3:5 establishes the necessity of receiving the Holy Ghost. The baptism of the Holy Ghost bestows the same power that resurrected Jesus Christ from the dead. “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” Romans 8:11.
